As most of you people know, I (Terry) am COMPLETLY obsessed with the movie Tank Girl!! I think it is the greatest movie out there, and wanted to share my knowledge on it with you people here!
The Movie is set in the year 2033. A near collision with a comet has disturbed the Earth's atmosphere, making water scarce throughout the land. The powerful Water and Power Corporation, who's leader is Keeslee (Played by Malcolm McDowell) keeps a tight grip on what water is left, and he controls the water which gives him the power to acheive world domination. Rebecca A.K.A Tank Girl (Played by Lori Petty) is captured by Kesslee after he finds her and her friends stealing water from them. She escapes from their prison with the help of Jet Girl (Played by Naomi Watts) who them team up with The Rippers, which are half-human, half-kangaroo mutants, and fight a war against Water and Power. Tank Girl, Jet Girl, and The Rippers turn W&P's technology against them and make the world safe for punk hair and sleazy lingerie.

You are probably thinking that this has got to be the worst, most chessiest movie out there, and you would probably be right...or atleast agree with most of the Earth's popualtion. This movie was given a very bad name, and critics didn't like it at all, and unfortunatly didn't do as good as everyone who made it had hoped it would. It was very unrealistic, and childish film, and I am not suprised it didn't do well. I however disagree with most of the popualtion! I think the movie was brillant, and I don't think they could have done a better job at making it! Lori Petty was AWESOME and she played Tank Girl so well! She was perfect for the part, and she did an amazing job of it! She also had wicked co-stars, and without them the movie wouldn't have been as great as it was!
My favorite character was 'Booga' who is one of the half human, half kangaroo Rippers! He was so stupid, he made me laugh like 87437 times in a row. He was witty, and funny, and boy was he HOT!! There is a picture of him below.

Thrusday, February 27th, 2003 - RIGHT NOW I AM SO MAD!! I phoned one of the movie stores here, and I asked if i could buy Tank Girl from them, and they said that I could, and it would only be like $6.99. I was so happy, and that day at school I told everyone I could buy it, and I was going to go over to Holly's house that night and watch it with her! Well I went to the movie store the day after, and looked for it, but I couldn't find it, so I asked the irl working where it would be, and she checked on her computer, and told me that the store already sold it in December!! Even though I phoned in March, and they told me they had it! I was sooo mad, so I went to the Hock Shop, and they said it was on the shelf, and while I was looking, the guy said they JUST sold it!! I was still very angry, so I went to Holly's house all mad! When I got there I phoned EVERY video store in this stupid town, and no one had it, and the ones that did, weren't going to sell it to me because they are STUPID!

Sunday, March 2nd, 2003 - Seeing as how I cannot find Tank Girl ANYWHERE in this shitty ass town, I started looking on the Internet for some place to buy it. I went on EBay, and even they didn't have it! They usually have everything, but not Tank Girl! I was so mad, so I went to PlayCentric.ca and they had it there!! So I ran over to my sisters house, and she put it on her Credit Card, and it was only $16.77 new! It said it would be delivered in 2 - 7 business days, so I will get it no later then Wednesday of next week, but with my luck you may never know!

Wednesday, March 5th, 2003 - I got home from my Track and Field Practice, and when I got in the house, my Mom told me she had a 'suprise' for me. I just thought it would be like bologna or something, but I closed my eyes, and she put it in my hand, and I didn't know what it was, but when I opened my eyes I FREAKED OUT!!! IT WAS THE TANK GIRL MOVIE!!! I couldn't believe it came so fast! My Mom told me that it actually came on Tuesday, so really it had only taken 2 days to get to my mailbox!! It was soo cool. I ran over to tell my sister, and then I phoned Holly, and then I went to Holly's so we could watch it. We watched it one full time, then we started to watch it again, but then I had to go home, so I went home and stole the VCR and put it in my room, and I watched it one full time again, then I started to watch it again, but I fell asleep! It was soo cool to finally own the damned movie, and I will probably wear it out before the weeks end!
So that's my Lame Ass Boring story as to how I got my Tank Girl Movie! I am so happy now, and I don't know how I was living without it!!
Even if you think this movie sounds super bad, and you don't want to see it, JUST GO RENT IT!! It's an older movie, so its not that much money! And if you do rent it, I promise you that you will NOT regret it!!
